Ronald Reagan – A Time for Choosing (October 27, 1964)

Governor Palin won the debate.

Time for Senator McCain to let Governor Palin loose on the conservative and libertarian base by being interviewed daily on talk radio and speaking at rally events in every major city in the United States!

Memo To Senator McCain: Turn Sarah Palin Loose

Over 90% of the pump and dump drive by mainstream media support Obama.

Forget about the pump and dump drive by mainstream media , they are not your friends.

Punish them by ignoring them. This will drive the pump and dump drive by mainstream media nuts.

A talk radio & rally surge strategy combined with short ads on TV will win the election.

THE VEEP DEBATE: SHE’S BACK!

Rich Lowry

“EVERY Republican in America rejoiced last night: “At long last the Couric captivity is over! Sarah Palin is free!”

Palin had suffered through a series of nightly interview bits with CBS anchor Katie Couric that seemed to last a month, with the Alaska governor shedding credibility by the minute. But last night, they instantly became a distant memory.

Palin held her own against Joe Biden, and flashed the poise and charm that made her such a star at the Republican convention.

Hers might have been the most unusual debate performance since Ross Perot’s running-mate James Stockdale showed up at the 1992 VP contest. From the moment she opened by saying the best measure of the economy is what parents are saying on the sidelines of soccer games, it was clear how utterly different she is in American politics – a candidate of, by and from the middle class.

She talked about regular middle-class people with the credibility of having lived that life every day, even for a time lacking health insurance. Or, as she put it at the end, she and John McCain will “fight for the middle-class, average family – like mine.” …”

SARAH ROCKS!

By Michelle Malkin

“…First, I would like to see all the Sarah doubters and detractors in the Beltway/Manhattan corridor eat their words.

Eat them.

Sarah Palin is the real deal. Five weeks on the campaign trail, thrust onto the national stage, she rocked tonight’s debate.

She was warm, fresh, funny, confident, energetic, personable, relentless, and on message. She roasted Obama’s flip-flops on the surge and tea-with-dictators declarations, dinged Biden’s bash-Bush rhetoric, challenged the blame-America defeatism of the Left, and exuded the sunny optimism that energized the base in the first place.

McCain has not done many things right. But Sarah Palin proved tonight that the VP risk he took was worth it.

Her performance also underscored the underhandedness of the hatchet job editors at ABC News and CBS News, which failed to capture her solid competence on the whole array of foreign and domestic policy issues on the debate table tonight. (I didn’t care for all the “greed” rhetoric, but I understand they are trying to appeal to independents and Dems. They’re trying to win the election.) …”

Palin’s Triumph
By the Editors

“…Gov. Sarah Palin, once again, confounded her critics with a strong performance. She did it at the Republican convention, and she did it again last night in her debate with Sen. Joe Biden. She performed with poise and charm. She effectively made the case that Senator Obama would be naïve in foreign policy and harmful to economic growth, and that Senator McCain would be a common-sense reformer. She handled questions about Iraq, Afghanistan, and Iran well. She connected domestic-policy arguments to the  lives of average voters. Anyone who hoped — or feared — that she would fall flat on her face was proven wrong. …”

Luntz focus group: Palin in a blowout; Update: CBS, CNN polls say Biden won?

“Lest anyone think Luntz cooks these things, his presidential debate FG was basically a wash tilting slightly towards Obama and his FG for C-SPAN shortly after Palin was picked was decidedly chilly towards her.

The electoral math is sufficiently unforgiving that I can’t quite believe this is a gamechanger, but clearly she did as well as anyone could have hoped. Clutch. …”

59% Agree With Ronald Reagan—Government Is The Problem

“In his first inaugural address, President Ronald Reagan delivered a line succinctly capturing the sentiment that elected him: “Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.”

A generation later, that attitude still resonates with a solid majority of Americans. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 59% of voters agree with Reagan, and just 28% disagree.

Support is found across a wide range of political and demographic groups. Sixty-seven percent (67%) of men agree with Reagan, as do 52% of women. A majority of voters in all age and income groups agree.

The only demographic group to disagree with Reagan’s statement are those who identify themselves as politically liberal. Just 35% of liberals agree that government is the problem, but 46% disagree. Moderates embrace the Reagan view by a 61% to 25% margin, and conservatives are even more enthusiastic. …”

the VP debate was stunning. Palin did a decent job faking about 20% of the questions and didn’t even bother answering the other 80%. she might as well have been singing the ABC’s whenever it was her turn to respond … did anyone else notice this?

McCain-Palin “Thanks…but no thanks.”
Such sturm und drang! Your train of thought seemed to have jumped the tracks. It is clear to me that all of you have become mentally unhinged. McCain…the now enlightened feminist. As a woman let me tell you what I think, feminism was somebody’s idea of a good investment. The Gloria Steinem types who promoted feminism for their own advantage. I’m on to you. And your cheerleader Palin? I’m not impressed. Many women and feminists are very much human chauvinists. Mull that one over! Your quick reprimand of what you considered sexist behaviour (some foolish thingy about lipstick and a pig;-) was stupid…trivial. While you are asking the Taliban to surrender Osama Bin Laden, you have not said a word about women’s condition under the Taliban. Why not? Now that would be of some serious substance.

Oh yeah…I really really miss Hillary;-) Hillary? Pleazzzzzzzzzzzze come back!

There has never been anyone like Sarah Palin. A global laughing stock, the subject of comedy shows across the world. Living proof that the United States is in terminal decline.

Seems we have two cases of Palin Derangement Syndrome or PDS comments

Take a look a Michelle Malkin’s blog for a more detailed explanation of PDS.

The left and the pump and dump drive by media simply do not get the appeal of Palin to the conservative base.

Please keep up the insults and nastiness. I hope SNL does a skit every Saturday and SNL gets better ratings.

Voter turnout will be the key to victory and Palin will get out the conservative, libertarian and Republican bases.

Cut to the chase. Obama is a socialist–and the majority of Americans will not vote for him once this becomes known to American people.

There is a Sunday special on Fox with Sean Hannity titled “Barack Obama and His Radical Friends”.

Obama long relationship with Bill Ayers in both New York and in Chicago will be throughly explored.

The American people will not elect a President that associates with terrorist bombers.

Pronk,

I, like you, am a Sarah Palin fan.

I came across your site through Michelle Malkin’s site.
