‘Generated Crisis’?
Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidates of both political parties periodically receive background intelligence briefings by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to get them up to speed as to what is happening around the world and where a future “crisis” may be developing.
Apparently such a briefing was on Senator Joe Biden’s mind when he spoke to a group of supporters.
Number one on the “generated crisis” hit lists is a war between Israel and Iran that could also include the United States and Russia.
Iran is rapdily approaching the completion of a nuclear weapon systems capability.
Israel must act soon to destroy this nuclear threat.
What did Senator Biden imply by his surprising disclosure?
If Senator Obama were elected President, is Senator Biden trying to signal that Obama would not support Israel if it came to a war between Israel and Iran over Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
If that was the case, then this would give Israel even more reason to launch an attack sooner rather than latter.
Maybe even before the US elections, although I think they will wait to late November.
Senator Biden knows he should have kept his big mouth shut.
Looks like the Senator is trying to cover his assets or he is in CYA mode.
Just another reason to vote for the McCain/Palin ticket.
The United States does not need a repeat of 1930s appeasement, another Bay of Pigs disaster or a thirteen day missle crisis.
The United States needs victory in Iraq and a nuclear weapon free Iran.
Senator McCain has the experience, vision and the will and Senator Obama is inexperienced, clueless, and an appeaser.
Senators Biden and Obama rival former President Clinton when he comes to telling out and out lies.

The McCain campaign was out of the box quickly last night, releasing a damning list of 14 lies told by Joe Biden during the debate.
We highlighted below the biggest lie he uttered – that Obama would meet with the leaders of Iran without precondition. Now come 13 more Pinnochios that are breathtaking in their shamelessness:
Here are all 14 lies as compiled by the McCain campaign:
1. TAX VOTE: Biden said McCain voted “the exact same way” as Obama to increase taxes on Americans earning just $42,000, but McCain DID NOT VOTE THAT WAY.
2. AHMEDINIJAD MEETING: Joe Biden lied when he said that Barack Obama never said that he would sit down unconditionally with Mahmoud Ahmedinijad of Iran. Barack Obama did say specifically, and Joe Biden attacked him for it.
3. OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING: Biden said, “Drill we must.” But Biden has opposed offshore drilling and even compared offshore drilling to “raping” the Outer Continental Shelf.”
4. TROOP FUNDING: Joe Biden lied when he indicated that John McCain and Barack Obama voted the same way against funding the troops in the field. John McCain opposed a bill that included a timeline, that the President of the United States had already said he would veto regardless of it’s passage.
5. OPPOSING CLEAN COAL: Biden says he’s always been for clean coal, but he just told a voter that he is against clean coal and any new coal plants in America and has a record of voting against clean coal and coal in the U.S. Senate.
6. ALERNATIVE ENERGY VOTES: According to FactCheck.org, Biden is exaggerating and overstating John McCain’s record voting for alternative energy when he says he voted against it 23 times.
7. HEALTH INSURANCE: Biden falsely said McCain will raise taxes on people’s health insurance coverage — they get a tax credit to offset any tax hike. Independent fact checkers have confirmed this attack is false
8. OIL TAXES: Biden falsely said Palin supported a windfall profits tax in Alaska — she reformed the state tax and revenue system, it’s not a windfall profits tax.
9. AFGHANISTAN / GEN. MCKIERNAN COMMENTS: Biden said that top military commander in Iraq said the principles of the surge could not be applied to Afghanistan, but the commander of NATO’s International Security Assistance Force Gen. David D. McKiernan said that there were principles of the surge strategy, including working with tribes, that could be applied in Afghanistan.

If you were they, wouldn’t you coordinate several near simultaneous crises to wreak maximum disorder on a fledgling Obama administration?
Here how that could play out: We wake up one month and FARC has taken over the American Embassy in Caracas. Putin has troops massed on the Russian border with the Ukraine, or perhaps one or more of the Baltic States, threatening invasion for some trumped-up reason. Hamas and Hezbollah have launched heavy missile attacks against Israel. Unidentified persons have blown up the American Embassy in Cairo. And, for good measure, North Korean commandos have ambushed and killed a small patrol of U.S. soldiers along the DMZ, on the South Korean side.
That’s five potential scenario initiations in quick succession, and doesn’t include the wild card of terrorist attacks in the U.S. (NYPost columnist and former Army Colonel Ralph Peters offers a longer list of potential flash points here.)

Obama gets first intelligence briefing

“…Because of his 30-year association with people who hate the United States, including communist Frank Marshall Davis., anti-American preacher Jeremiah Wright, and communist terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, it is highly doubtful that Obama could get a security clearance in the U.S. government he wants to lead.
But rather than raise this issue, the major media want to investigate Sarah Palin’s pregnant daughter and her husband’s driving record.
The federal government provides a “Questionnaire for National Security Positions” to people eligible for a security clearance. There are several requests for information that Obama might find difficult to answer. They include “Other names used” by applicant, “Citizenship of your relatives and associates,” “Your foreign activities,” and “Your use of illegal drugs and drug activity.”
But Obama doesn’t have to fill out any such form. He is above it all.
According to CNN, President Bush authorized the briefing for Obama. “President Bush has followed the practice of previous presidents in deciding that intelligence briefings will be made available to the presidential and vice presidential candidates of both major parties,” CNN reported.
This may be a traditional practice but what is its legal and rational basis? And why are the “major” candidates only given access to this information? …”

“The Cuban Missile Crisis was a confrontation between the United States, the Soviet Union, and Cuba during the Cold War. In Russia, it is termed the “Caribbean Crisis,” (Russian: Карибский кризис, Karibskiy krizis) while in Cuba it is called the “October Crisis.” The crisis ranks with the Berlin Blockade as one of the major confrontations of the Cold War, and is often regarded as the moment in which the Cold War came closest to a nuclear war.
In Havana, there was fear of military intervention by the United States in Cuba.[1] In April 1961, the threat of invasion became real when a force of CIA-trained Cuban exiles opposed to Castro landed at the Bay of Pigs. The invasion was quickly terminated by Cuba’s military forces. Castro was convinced the United States would invade Cuba.[2] Shortly after routing the Bay of Pigs Invasion, Castro declared Cuba a socialist republic, established formal ties with the Soviet Union, and began to modernize Cuba’s military.
The United States feared any country’s adoption of communism or socialism, but for a Latin American country to openly ally with the USSR was regarded as unacceptable, given the Russo-American enmity dating from the end of the Second World War in 1945.
In late 1961, Kennedy engaged Operation Mongoose, a series of covert operations against Castro’s government which were to prove unsuccessful.[3]. More overtly, in February 1962, the United States launched an economic embargo against Cuba.[4]
The United States also considered direct military attack. Air Force Gen. Curtis LeMay presented to Kennedy a pre-invasion bombing plan in September, while spy flights and minor military harassment from the United States Guantanamo Naval Base were the subject of continual Cuban diplomatic complaints to the U.S. government.
By September 1962, Cuban observers fearing an imminent invasion would have seen increasing signs of American preparations for a possible confrontation, including a joint Congressional resolution authorizing the use of military force in Cuba if American interests were threatened,[5] and the announcement of an American military exercise in the Caribbean planned for the following month (Operation Ortsac).
The climax period of the crisis began on October 8, 1962. Later on October 14th, United States reconnaissance photographs taken by an American U-2 spy plane revealed missile bases being built in Cuba. The crisis ended two weeks later on October 28, 1962, when President of the United States John F. Kennedy and United Nations Secretary-General U Thant reached an agreement with the Soviets to dismantle the missiles in Cuba in exchange for a no invasion agreement and a secret removal of the Jupiter and Thor missiles in Turkey.
Kennedy, in his first public speech on the crisis, given on October 22 1962, gave the key warning,
It shall be the policy of this nation to regard any nuclear missile launched from Cuba against any nation in the Western Hemisphere as an attack on the United States, requiring a full retaliatory response upon the Soviet Union.[6]

Kennedy “directed the Armed Forces to prepare for any eventualities; and I trust that in the interest of both the Cuban people and the Soviet technicians at the sites, the hazards to all concerned of continuing the threat will be recognized.” He called for emergency meetings of the OAS and United Nations Security Council to deal with the matter.[6] …”
