Ron Pauls’ “Trust”
Three to four weeks ago the word went out to selective talk radio hosts that the Republican Party establishment leadership, power brokers and special interests had selected Mitt Romney as their candidate.
The talk radio show hosts did not take this very well.
Nor for that matter did the conservative movement including libertarians and tea party supporters.
Romney is considered to be a big government progressive that simply cannot be trusted.
Three out of four Republicans simply do not want Romney as their Presidential candidate.
The Republican establishment main selling point or argument was that in the general election, Romney would be more electable than a more conservative or libertarian candidate. Really? Give me a break.
Michael Savage Argues with Newt Gingrich Supporter – (Sound Clip Aired on November 28, 2011)
This is complete nonsense for the simple reason almost any Republican candidate should be able to beat Barack Obama.
The Republican Establishment knows this.
This is exactly the reason why they want their guy–Romney– to be nominated.
Electability is not the issue.
The real issue is who do the American people trust.
Obama Runs Second to Republicans In Voter Trust On Key Issues
“Just over one-third of Likely U.S. Voters trust President Obama more than the Republican candidates for president when it comes to the handling of the economy, national security and health care. However, the president does have the trust of more voters than any individual GOP candidate at this time.”
The American people do not trust Obama–Romney–Gingrich.
The reason is very simple, Obama is a pathological liar.
The American people will largely ignore and turn off Obama’s $1 billion propaganda campaign.
The Republican establishment is having a nervous breakdown over the possibility that Newt Gingrich may get the nomination given his dramatic rise in the polls.
Newt Gingrich has issues or baggage–both old baggage (three wifes, three religions, ethics issues) and new baggage (bank bailouts, Freddie Mac and drug and health care company contributions)–that many voters are not aware of until they start watching and listening to Ron Paul’s ads.
Besides the old and new baggage, Gingrich is a big government progressive.
The tea party supporters, conservatives, libertarians, and independents simply will not vote for any progressive Republican, Gingrich or Romney.

Once this is understood and both the old and new baggage are displayed for all to see, Gingrich like Perry and Cain before him will rapidly fall in the polls.
The Republican Party establishment’s dilemma is that they do not have a candidate that is acceptable to both the conservative and libertarian base, the tea party or for that matter the Republican Party base.
The reason why many conservatives and libertarians have left the Republican Party is that do not want another big government progressive like Nixon, Ford, Bush, Dole, Bush, and McCain.
The American people do not trust the two flip-floppers and progressives–Romney and Gingrich.
Who do the American people trust?
Who do the American people know is a consistent and principled conservative that opposes government intervention at home and abroad?
The Republican Party establishment as well as the pro-Israel neoconservatives cannot stand Ron Paul.
Ron Paul would actually balance the budget, cut spending by $1 trillion including the elimination of at least five departments for starters, cut military spending used to police the world and nation build, bring the troops home, end foreign aid, end the IRS and income tax, eliminate subsidies, reform entitlements and restore the republic.
Ron Paul scares them to death. He cannot be bought and is happily married.
Ron Paul’s campaign has a series of ads that are quite effective.
Slowly, but surely, Ron Paul’s message is resonating with the American people.
Both the Republican establishment and most of the so-called “conservative” talk show radio hosts are out-of step with the American people especially America’s youth.
While the “conservative” talk radio show hosts usually will not formally endorse any of the Republican Party candidates, they definitely have their likes and dislikes which are no secret to their regular listeners.
Bill Bennet’s favorite, Paul Ryan, is not running and his second and third choices, Rick Perry and Rick Santorium, are behind Paul in the polls.
Boortz likes Gingrich.
Beck likes Santorium and Bachmann but dislikes progressives Romney and Gingrich.
Rush Limbaugh likes Gingrich.
Hannity likes Gingrich.
Levin likes Bachmann.
Savage to boost ratings favors Romney over Gingrich.
Many of the above also want young neoconservative Marco Rubio as the Vice-President candidate.

55% Say U.S. Should Never Have Been Involved in Iraq
“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 29% of Likely U.S. Voters believe, looking back, that the United States should have become involved in Iraq. Fifty-five percent (55%) say America never should have gotten involved an even more negative assessment than we found in February.”
59% Want US Troops Home from Afghanistan
“As trouble with neighboring Pakistan shines a new spotlight on a troubled region, most voters are ready to bring U.S. troops home from Afghanistan.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 59% of Likely Voters nationwide want the troops to come home either immediately or within a year. Twenty-nine percent (29%) oppose any firm timetable and 12% are not sure.”
Paul would bring all the troops home and end all foreign aid including military ad to Israel as well as foreign aid to the enemies of Israel.
While some of the above talk show hosts are closet neoconservatives, all are pro-Israel and foreign policy interventionists.

The Republican talk radio show hosts have lost their way when they decided to be Republicans first instead of consistent and principled American conservatives and libertarians.
Neither Romney nor Gingrich are conservatives.
Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney are progressive neoconservative Republicans.
Time for the so-called “conservative” talk radio show host to come clean with their listerners.
The conservative and libertarian base will wake up to this fact as will the tea party, independents and even the Republican base.
