Newt Gingrich/Sarah Palin or Ron Paul/Sarah Palin in 2012–Newtie/Cutie or Oldie/Cutie– Silver Fox vs. Golden Sable vs. Bald Eagle–Ron Paul in 2012!

In 2008 my first choice as a candidate for President was Newt Gingrich.

I remember listening to Newt Gingrich on the Neal Boortz  talk radio show and was positive he was going to announce his candidacy the following week.

Neal was even joking that he wanted a ride on Air Force one.

Then the following Monday or Tuesday Gingrich announces that he decided against running.

My reaction was someone must have gotten to him over the weekend with some embarrassing audio tapes, photos or videos.

Like most Americans I did not know who either Barack Obama or Sarah Palin were or their position on the issues.

By first impression or reaction to Barack Obama was positive when I listened to his hope and change stump speech on the radio.

Unfortunately, the more I examined Barack Obama positions on a wide range of issues, I concluded he would a disaster for the United States economy.

I was optimistic.

Barack Obama is both worse and more dangerous to this country’s future than even I imagined.

President Obama is fast becoming one of the worse Presidents the United States has ever had.

President Obama has already beat out Jimmy Carter in just two years.

In the unlikely event that President Obama  is reelected in 2012, he might just beat out both Lyndon B. Johnson and Franklin D. Roosevelt as the absolutely worse President this country has ever had.

Newt Gingrich was right in not running in 2008 for identity politics combined with an economy that was entering a recession  is difficult for any Republican to beat no matter how smart, articulate and right on the issues you are.

I held my noise and voted for John McCain.

The only fresh air in the entire Presidential race was Sarah Palin.

While most conservatives love Sarah Palin and most progressive radical socialists hate her,  McCain’s campaign staff should have let Sarah be Sarah and go on just friendly conservative talk radio and television shows.

Instead, they put Governor Palin on big old media’s shows where the interviewer was out to damage her and they did.

My biggest mistake was not listening to what Ron Paul was saying.

Even though I am a classical liberal or what in America is called a libertarian and should have been supporting Ron Paul, I never gave Ron Paul any serious consideration.

Many conservatives and libertarians felt that Ron Paul was simply wrong on the war in Iraq.

For this reason alone, they paid little or no attention to what he was saying.

I wrote Ron Paul’s candidacy off as did many conservatives and libertarians.

Ron Paul: A New Hope

Is Ron Paul Trying To Take Over The Republican Party?

I learn from my mistakes.

While I still consider myself a member of the American conservative movement which I joined when Barry Goldwater was running for President, I am no longer a Republican.

Both the Democratic and Republican parties are for big government intervention both domestically and abroad.

As a result we are in the Bush/Obama Not So Great Depression, a repeat of the Hoover/Roosevelt Great Depression.

Both political parties under Bush and Obama have failed to stop the growth in government spending, deficits, national debt, unfunded liabilities, regulations, and military interventions abroad.

I have joined the ranks of many conservatives and libertarians who are now independents.

As for the progressive Republicans such as Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, and Colin Powell, may I suggest you switch parties and join Arlen Specter and Jim Jeffords and the progressive radical socialist Democratic Party.

Progressive vs. Liberal

Socialism is Evil

Glenn Beck on Meghan McCain calling herself Progressive Republican Part 1

The neoconservatives who favor government intervention abroad and preventive war should cross the aisle and join the progressive radical socialist Democratic Party, where most of them came from originally when the Democratic Party nominated George McGovern.

Ron Paul Calls Out Neoconservatives By Name

Remember it was progressive presidents including Woodrow Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Lyndon Baines Johnson, George H. W. Bush , George W. Bush  and Barack Obama who were Presidents that lead the United States into World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, First Gulf War, Second Gulf War and Afghanistan war.

Government is the problem and bigger global government intervention is not the solution.

While I would still vote for a Gingrich, Palin or Paul in 2012, I am looking for candidate that would dramatically reduce the size and scope of the Federal Government and bring America’s professional warriors home for a well deserved rest.

Currently my choice in 2012 for a Presidential candidate is Ron Paul.

A Ron Paul/Sarah Palin ticket  would unite both the libertarian and conservative wings of the Republican Party.

Better yet, start another political party, call it the American Citizens Alliance Party or ACAP for short, to put a cap on government spending, taxes, deficits, debt, unfunded liabilities, regulations and illegal immigration.

Join the Second American Revolution.

Newt Gingrich considers 2012 Presidential Bid

Watch out Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich is ‘serious’ about running for president in 2012

by Joe Tacopino

“…Newt Gingrich said he is considering a run for president in 2012 and will make his final decision early next year.

“I’ve never been this serious,” Gingrich told the AP.

The former House speaker said he will be helping fellow Republicans get reelected in the midterms, but will decide in February or March whether to seek the nomination. …”

Palin center stage in politics, but what of 2012?
By BECKY BOHRER

“…Sarah Palin isn’t going to fade away. Someone else in her position might have. Two years after the vice presidential nomination made her a star, the 2008 campaign is fading in memory. She’s not even Alaska’s governor anymore; she abruptly resigned that post a year ago. But she’s evolved into an enduring political personality writ large – and now the talk, growing louder, is of her own run for the White House in 2012.

She’s still a phenomenon. She can command weeks of headlines for a single Facebook observation – see health care “death panels” – and six-figure speaking fees from groups clamoring for her words. “Going Rogue,” her best-selling memoir, added to her luster among the conservative faithful. And in this congressional election year, she has easily eclipsed other Republicans as provider of the most coveted endorsement.

Palin is everywhere: in South Carolina, campaigning for gubernatorial hopeful and fellow “mama grizzly” Nikki Haley; in Nevada, stoking the anti-establishment sentiment of the tea party movement; in Arizona, defending a controversial state law cracking down on illegal immigrants. …”

Ron Paul

“…Ronald Ernest “Ron” Paul (born August 20, 1935) is an American physician and Republican Congressman for the 14th congressional district of Texas. Paul is a member of the Liberty Caucus of Republican congressmen which aims to limit the size and scope of the federal government,[2] and serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, the Joint Economic Committee, and the Committee on Financial Services, where he has been an outspoken critic of American foreign and monetary policy. He has gained notoriety for his right-libertarian positions on many political issues, often clashing with both Republican and Democratic Party leaders. Paul has run for President of the United States twice, first in 1988 as the nominee of the Libertarian Party and again in 2008 as a candidate for the Republican nomination.

He is the founder of the advocacy group Campaign for Liberty and his ideas have been expressed in numerous published articles and books, including End The Fed (2009), and The Revolution: A Manifesto (2008).

By one measure, Paul has the most conservative voting record of any member of Congress since 1937.[3] …”
