I’ve recently uploaded two rare interviews with the Wobblie, anarchist, and activist Dorothy Day.

Day had begun her service to the poor in New York City during the Depression with Peter Maurin, and it continued until her death in 1980. Their dedication to administering to the homeless, elderly, and disenfranchised continues in many parts of the world.

Please post or announce the availability of these videos for those who may be interested in hearing this remarkable humanist.

The Federal Government has a lot of land.

This land should be partially given to the states and sold to the highes bidder.

All receipts from the sales of the land should go to the retirement of the National Debt.

The biggest deficit is leadership.

A leader advocating limited government is what is needed.

There might be global warming or cooling but the important issue is whether we, as a human race, can do anything about it.

There are a host of porkies and not very much truth barraging us everyday so its difficult to know what to believe.

I think I have simplified the issue in an entertaining way on my blog which includes some issues connected with climategate and “embarrassing” evidence.

In the pipeline is an analysis of the economic effects of the proposed emission reductions. Watch this space or should I say Blog

Mostly the New Left baby boomers now in Congress, Senate and White House staff are as you describe–looters and moouchers.

I want the political class to shut down and close permanently ten Federal Government departments and several agencies of the Federal Government.

The Progressive Radical Socialists only want to grow and expand the Federal Government and create government dependency.

That’s fine but I think you misunderstood, sometimes I’m terse. When I said that “this is the worship of capital as a god,” I meant what we’re seeing in the videos—the historical process of the construction of the ECB and so on—almsot as if the reader here were watching while simultaneously reading my comment. This takes you out of it of course. So nothing else was meant.

This is really the worship of capital as a god. To see it all spelled out like this is very helpful. It makes it clear why national leaders, like Berlusconi for example, who consider themselves in an uncomplicated way to be corporatists, see themselves as serving some power greater than the will of the people. This is a religion, a religion where capital is the deity, the nations are its worshippers, and the corporation, and to a lesser extent its servant the state, are its vessels. Terrifying.
