WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. government’s budget deficit in the fiscal year that ended on September 30 was $1.3 trillion, equal to 8.6 percent of gross domestic product, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said on Friday.

At $1.3 trillion, the fiscal 2011 budget imbalance matched the previous fiscal year’s total, CBO said, when it was equal to 8.9 percent of GDP.

In fiscal 2009, the debt equaled 10 percent of the U.S. economy, CBO said.

Obama Golfs for the 90th Time as President

by Keith Koffler on December 26, 2011, 9:07 pm

“…After an hour of hiking, President Obama Monday got down to the serious business at hand, heading out to golf for the second day in his first three days of vacation. He was back on the course at Marine Corps Base Hawaii.

With this one, Obama reaches a new milestone, having gone golfing 90 times in less than three years as president. That’s about three months of golf, given that the excursions generally take about five hours – much of the useful portion of the day.

What’s more, it’s the 32nd time he’s been on the links this year, a record for the president. His 32 outings eclipses the 2010 mark of 30 and is far ahead of his 2009 tally of 28 rounds as president. …”

Yep, Obama created the massive deficits with his… ummm… Oh, yeah! The $800 billion dollar stimulus created $5 trillion dollars in debt. It’s an outrage! And he plays golf to boot! Somebody get a rope!

The Deomcrats controlled the House and Senate in 2007-2010 and passed budgets that resulted in deficits exceeding $4 trillion dollars in fiscal years 2009-2011. The estimated deficit in fiscal year 2012 is about $1 trillion.

Sorry little sheep… the president submits the budgets.

Only the House can originate money bills including authorizations and appropriations.

Both Obama’s and Bush’s proposed budgets were ignored by both the Republicans and Democrats when they controlled the House.

Only when the President, House and Senate are controlled by the same party can you definitely blame the deficits on one party or the President.

I blame both parties for running massive deficits and debts.
