The Hollow Men

 

While listening to various talk radio shows, the two words I hear over and over again from the callers to describe Senator Obama are “empty suit” .

I prefer calling him one of the “hollow men” .

In an introduction to Gerhart Niemeyer’s Aftersight and Foresight: Select Essays, Michael Henry wrote:

Contemporary conservatives have perforce become virtual revolutionaries through their opposition to the liberal intellectual Establishment status quo, “an amalgam of socialism, positivism, progressivism, and anti-Christian humanism.”  These Western “isms,” as well as Communism, share in an attack on tradition, experience, common sense, religion, and the sense of identity we have, or should have, inherited from the past. To reject the tradition, the accumulated wisdom of countless human beings who reflected on their human experience and on the tradition they receive is to turn ourselves into amnesiacs, “hollow men,” incapable of significant communication, self-knowledge, understanding of the past, or realistic expectations of the future. The more they see and hear Senator Obama, the less they like what they see and hear.

Senator Obama is the problem for the Democratic Party.

The pump and dump drive-by mainstream media are beginning to realize that their anointed candidate is not selling and neither is their coverage as the number of their viewers, listeners, and readers declines.

Senator Obama should be leading by at least ten percentage points in the polls!

“Sometimes it’s important to state the obvious, as George Orwell urged in another era of big lies and Political Correctness. It’s obvious that the media are in the bag for Obama for one big reason, and one reason only: his race. The media have adopted liberal race bias as it is practiced on hundreds of campuses, in newsrooms all over, and in corporations galore. It’s “affirmative” race discrimination, but it’s still completely arbitrary favoritism based on skin color.

There’s something profoundly wrong with that. It offends our sense of fair play. When governments behave this way it’s a flagrant violation of the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution. Every time normal people get a chance to vote, they vote against it.  Even leftwing Supreme Court justices say that affirmative action is only a “temporary” fix for a history of discrimination against blacks. 

But that’s a lie. The race industry will never let go; on the contrary, they are including ever-more victim groups. The gender industry came in on top of the civil rights movement, and the sexual minority establishment rode in on the back of feminism.  Hispanics and illegals are going to be the next big victim groups. From anti-black discrimination to anti-white  discrimination — where’s the progress?  …”
